Traditional training programmes can be a hit or a miss. A miss could arguably be attributed to their generic format of delivery or lack of consideration of the professional needs of an individual or an organization. We highly recommend for line managers to scrutinize business needs versus knowledge or skill gaps in order to invest in relevant capacity enhancement for their human capital, this will lead to concrete results. In consideration of the above, Excel Axis Consulting offers two main types of training approaches.
Action centred learning
Knowledge acquisition workshop
Action-centred learning (ACL)
This is a training approach where our subject matter expert trainer is assigned to a participant. The expert trainer focuses on the participant and ensures that skills and knowledge transferred to the participant are practical and applicable for ongoing projects. The participant is then required to put the learning into application with the intention of enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and overall results of the role under development.
Skill and knowledge acquisition workshop (SKAW)
This is a training activity led by an expert trainer specifically focusing on the transfer of knowledge and skills aimed at addressing identified gaps in the organization. The sessions vary from 1 to 3-day workshops and participants are required to review some reading materials before the sessions.
The following are trainings that have been delivered:
